This INFTA FTG training allows you to resume your practicum right away at a location of your choice – no risky interstate or international travel needed!
Your learning-friendly practicum is supervised by experienced mentors who are all equipped with tertiary qualifications and a high degree of expertise and professional attitude. Our mentors will guide you successfully through your practicum which you can conduct at your own pace. The minimum and recommended time to finish your practicum is six months. Should it become necessary, you may extend your practicum up to twelve months upon request at no extra costs.
To enhance your practical and theoretical skills in becoming an INFTA-Certified and Accredited Forest Therapy Guide, you may also consider taking part at a five-day practical training workshop during or after your practicum. These requirements are necessary due to the responsibilities of Forest Therapy Guides who have to be capable of leading diverse groups of people outdoors at different biospheres and locations. Next to proper insurance, such as Public Liability/Professional Indemnity, a current First Aid certificate and Certificate of Participation in Safe Food Handling Practices (required in Australia) is compulsory for each FTG trainee (which may be acquired separately from other training providers).
Our training utilizes the latest international research as compiled by INFTA in the International Handbook of Forest Therapy (edited by Kotte et al 2019) and focuses on the evidence-based aspects of Forest Therapy as a Public health practice. Hence, INFTA’s training aims at qualifying participants to be employed at the professional or academic level. As an INFTA-Certified Forest Therapy Guide you become part of an international community of FTGs and experts who form the national and international networks of the world’s peak body in this area, INFTA.
To become an INFTA-Certified Forest Therapy Guide, just complete and submit the Application Form. Once the payment has been credited to our account, you will receive your exclusive access to the INFTA Learning Management System to start your practicum right away. You also will be designated your personal mentor who will accompany along the training pathway. All you need is a functioning digital device (PC, laptop, notepad, smartphone etc. equipped with a common browser; all modern operating systems like OSX, Linux, Windows, iOS or Android are supported).

Also, your dedicated mentor will then be assigned to you so that you can to start your training and practicum right away in the New Year – wherever you are in the world!
Fees do not cover insurance or any third-party certificates to be obtained. Once you have accessed the INFTA Learning Management System, fees are not reimbursable. Should you wish to cancel your application after you have made your payment, this incurs a cancellation fee of US$ 299. Any such cancellation has to be made in written.
