| Mrs. Vân Trần Minh, Owner, Fairyland Eco-resort | Ho-Chi-Minh City, Vietnam | Required credible, international certification to launch professional, science-backed Forest Therapy services | INFTA-Certified Forest Therapy Guide training, international workshops, mentorship support | Became Vietnam’s first certified guide, developed an INFTA-standard trail, outlined 2025 program launch |
The Challenge:
Mrs. Vân Trần Minh sought to introduce structured, professional Forest Therapy (FT) programs at her Fairyland eco-resort in the Toc Tien Mountains. Her primary challenge was bridging language barriers in English, specifically with specialized scientific terminology, to successfully navigate the rigorous certification required to advocate for and practice forest therapy in Vietnam.
The Solution:
Mrs. Minh committed fully to the INFTA training program, participating in workshops in Kyoto, Japan, and Queensland, Australia. Inspired by the mentorship of Dr. Dieter and Mrs. Susan, she prioritized improving her skills and knowledge. Upon returning to Vietnam, she collaborated with her team to identify, develop, and name an INFTA-standard trail at the resort, the “Open” Forest Therapy Path.
The Results:
Within six months, Mrs. Minh successfully qualified as an INFTA-Certified Forest Therapy Guide and conducted four successful pilot sessions on her newly developed trail. The sessions were transformative for participants and reaffirmed the deep healing benefits of the forest environment. As Vietnam’s first certified guide and advocate, Mrs. Minh has overcome significant challenges and outlined concrete plans for launching a full Forest Therapy Program in 2025, committing to expanding this practice across her country.
“Participating in the INFTA Forest Therapy Instructor program was both a challenge and a profound learning experience for me… I am committed to expanding this practice…”
